The Art of Natural Living

Pure olive wood, natural sea sponges, cold process soap and vintage finds, chosen by our family for the small rituals that make a home.

Inspired by nature

We are Vincaza, a small family business based in Kent, UK. We look for things made from natural materials, by people who know them well, and beautiful pieces that have already lived a life. Then we tell you their story honestly, wrap them in fully recyclable packaging and send them on to you to begin their new journey.

The sea sponge

From the Mediterranean seabed to your bath

A natural sea sponge grows slowly on the seabed before it is harvested, dried and chosen. No two share a shape, a density or a pattern of holes, which is why we photograph and measure them the way we do.

Olive wood

A grain you can read like a map

Every chopping board, salt cellar, pestle and mortar and honey spoon is shaped from olive wood, so the grain is always unique. Dark veins, pale streaks and the odd small knot are the tree’s own character, and we keep them.

Washing By hand in warm water, then dry it straight away.

Caring A little olive oil now and then keeps the colour rich.

Personalising Many pieces can be engraved with a name or special date.

The Vintage Collection

Found, not made

We source vintage one piece at a time, from French copper to Victorian mirrors. Each one is described as it is: its age, where it came from, its condition and its measurements in centimetres and inches. When it’s gone, it has gone.

Marks, patina and what honest wear looks like.

This is the second sponge I have bought from Vincaza. I was a returning customer because the quality is great.

The wooden pestle and mortar is exceptionally well made, with a lovely finish and beautifully executed personalised engraving.
